Project Engineering, Constructibility Review
A Constructibility Review of the plans and
specifications during about 90% stage is done by
very experienced construction engineers. This is to
consider the contract's clarity, reasonableness and
potential for change orders and claims. After the
review, the comments are considered by the owner
and designer, as to what changes might be made to
improve the contract and bids received. Such a
review typically results in some savings, but the
actual savings by avoiding changes and claims is
speculative although genuine. Perry has led and
participated in many of these reviews.
